What should WE do in the LAST 10 Nights of Ramadan?

Ok, I have no idea how we are already in the last 10 nights of Ramadan, the days seriously went so fast!
Random Fact: My first ever post on this blog was in Ramadan last year!

So, why are the last 10 nights of Ramadan so important?
Well because in them is a night called Layla tul Qadr.
Allah says in the Quran:

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.

Surah al Qadr [97]

SubhanAllah! So we really need to try our very best to do the most we can in these nights.

So here are 5 things we can do in these last nights of Ramadan: (taken from this video)

1) Charity:
Giving a lot or even a little bit of charity every single night, will ensure that you get Layla tul Qadr, InshaAllah! This means that it would be as if you have been giving charity for over 83 YEARS!
Now I know its much harder – if not, not possible at this moment and time, to physically give the money to a person in need, but that’s where online charities come in 🙂

2) Night prayer:
Abu Huraira (r.a) narrated:
“I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying regarding Ramadan, “Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”– [Sahih al-Bukhari].
Now obviously we can’t pray Taraweeh / Qiyam in the Masjids at the moment but we can do it in our homes iA.

3) Recite Quran:
Reciting Quran is a great way in getting lots of ajr, so even if you can’t read a lot, try reading just a page… because if it is Layla tul Qadr, it is as if you were reading that page every night for OVER 83 YEARS!

4) Do LOTS of Dhikr: SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, are all words of remembrance of Allah, that are very powerful and heavy on the scale, yet light on the tongue.

5) And finally, recite this dua:
اللْهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُعَنِّي
Allahumma innaka `afuwwun tuhibbul `afwa fa`fu `annee

Aishah (R.A) reported: I asked: “O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?” He (ﷺ) replied, “You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me).”[At-Tirmidhi].

Right that’s really it for today’s post, I hope you enjoyed it, don’t forget to share this post with all your friends and family, so that they may benefit from this too iA.
