Assalamualaikum Everyone, I hope your Ramadan is going well so far, cant believe its already the last 10!
Here is a great reminder I came across that might be beneficial iA:
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, then he will receive one good deed as ten good deeds like it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is one letter, but rather Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter.”Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2910
SubhanAllah what a reward indeed! And for those who struggle to recite the Quran, the reward becomes doubled! This is because Allah, (swt) does not judge on the quality of the recitation rather Allah, the Most Beneficent, looks at the level of effort of the believer and rewards them accordingly. So, if a person is slow, stutters but is making his utmost effort to read the Quran correctly, Allah will surely reward him with greater. We must imagine the month of Ramadan as a jackpot for us Muslims as Allah promises that the reward for doing good in this month is utmost, so much so that it gives the believer a completely clean slate, erases all his sins/mistakes and gives him an opportunity to start over. So why do we not try? Why would we not want to grab this opportunity with both hands and build our relationship with His Supreme words?
Big questions for some of us to ask ourselves indeed.”
