Come to me with your advice when I am alone

And do not advise me in the crowd

Because advice amongst the people is a scolding

And I do not like to hear it aloud

Then if you disobey me and do not heed my words

I came across the following once….

Everybody will be tested to some extent in one form or another

Don’t invalidate people’s struggles just because you’ve been through something worse.

If you’re tired after walking for 10 miles but someone is tired after walking only 2 miles.

It doesn’t mean that they are not allowed to be tired. It doesn’t mean they are not allowed to feel any pain just because you’ve had it worse.

Don’t compare others to your capabilities.

By having a to-do list, you know exactly what you need to get done and setting goals will mean you’re more likely to take action than if you don’t. An added bonus is the satisfaction of ticking something off the list. The list and goals don’t need to be related to assignment submissions, revising for tests but it can also be replying to emails, cleaning your inbox, saying hi to someone you haven’t spoken to for a while, making time for friends/family, finish reading a book, maybe even tidying up the bedroom!
